Why I created this guide
Booking golf in Yunnan often depends on a local network of course contacts and agents. International visitors may know which course they want to play but have no straightforward way to reach the people who can arrange a tee time.
I created Play Yunnan Golf to make that local knowledge accessible. The guide brings course details, practical visitor information and a way to prepare a booking enquiry together in one place.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE GUIDE
Meet Colin
I’ve lived in Yunnan for more than ten years and played every course listed on this site. My experience on the fairways helps me offer practical advice about which courses may suit your trip.
Over the years, I’ve built direct contacts with course front desks and strong working relationships with local golf agents. I use those relationships to coordinate enquiries about tee times, visitor rates and the details that matter when planning a round.

How the course guide is put together
My own rounds provide the local perspective behind this guide. Course details draw on published club information and scorecards where available; photographs carry credits to identify their source. Expanded course guides bring these together with hole notes and practical advice for visiting golfers.
The Lost Courses of Yunnan archive uses historical reporting and archival photographs, with sources linked on the individual pages. These closed courses are separate from the courses available for enquiries.
Prices and access can change. Share your playing date for a current quote, or contact me with a correction if you spot information that needs updating.
