GOLF IN DALI · YUNNAN
Plan a round at Canghai Golf Club, the Dali course in our Yunnan collection. This Nick Faldo design sits between the Cangshan foothills and Erhai, making it an option for golfers staying in Dali who want to add golf to their visit.

Dali gives a Yunnan golf trip a different base from Kunming. Canghai combines a mountain setting with an 18-hole, par-71 layout, and can be part of a stay near the old town. Colin has played the course and coordinates enquiries through local contacts, helping international visitors arrange the details before travelling to the club.

Rates depend on the course and playing date. Request a quote for Canghai Golf Club with your preferred date and number of golfers.
Canghai rates include the green fee, a shared cart, the caddie fee and one bottle of water. The customary caddie tip is RMB 200 per golfer, per caddie. Transfers, club rental, food and other purchases are separate.
International visitors receive the same rates and playing conditions as Chinese and local guests. Sending the form starts an enquiry; it does not reserve a tee time or take a payment.

November–April is generally drier around Dali; May–October brings most of the rain. Allow for wind, particularly during the February–April wind season, and cool starts at Canghai’s foothill setting. Pack a wind-resistant layer and rainwear, and use the local temperature and wind forecast when choosing your tee time.
Read the Yunnan golf weather guide and our unplayable-weather policy.
Plan the course transfer from your Dali hotel or arrival station. Canghai is in the Cangshan foothills; the exact pickup location affects the journey. A private return transfer can be arranged at an additional cost. For your own driver, use the Chinese golf-club name and address on the course page. Dali should be treated as a separate stay rather than a day trip from Kunming.
If you prefer to travel without clubs, include a club-hire request in your Dali enquiry. A modern rental set typically costs around RMB 300 per round at Yunnan courses offering hire; the available set and price for Canghai will be included in your quote. A driving range is available at the course.
